RCmodeler #1 Posted January 4, 2004 I'm looking for a Japanese girl who likes party-style games... neither Pac-Man Fever or Monopoly Party got good reviews. Is there another option? [EDIT: a "party game" is a game that consists of lots of minigames. The person who wins the most minigames is the Overall Winner]

sigma #3 Posted January 4, 2004 I think I now what you're talking about... Anyway, I don't know of any "party" games, but for gatherings try SC2, DDR, and Karoke Revolution.
Scooterb23 #4 Posted January 4, 2004 I kind of liked Monopoly Party...although you have to keep very careful track of what everyone else has...

tyranthraxus #7 Posted January 4, 2004 I hear the Japanese are really into Ben-Wai Balls its available as an import.
+kisrael #8 Posted January 4, 2004 It's pretty hard to argue that the PS2 isn't the WORST Party game system out there. And that's including party as in "lots of minigames for 4 players" and party as in "fun to pick up in play and entertaining to watch, good for parties". Rayman Arena is kind of cute, and cheap. Not much shelflife I think though. I can't recommend "ThunderTanks", which is why I (foolishly) bought the system in the first place. GameCube has Mario Party series, Xbox has Fusion Frenzy and that one other "extreme" one.

Paralistalon #10 Posted January 5, 2004 Worms Armegeddon is a good multiplayer game. Blast Chamber for the PS1 was really fun. It shouldn't cost you more than $5.
Adrian M #11 Posted January 5, 2004 I recall seeing some sort of Pac-Man Party game for the Gamecube and PS2, though the actual name of the game escapes me at the moment. Might be worth checking out.
tiggerthehun #12 Posted January 5, 2004 Although it's a "one player at a time" sort of thing, we've had some great parties with Karaoke Revolution... And, oddly enough, one of the party-goers was a Japanese girl.
joeybastard #13 Posted January 5, 2004 The GC has 2 Mario Partys, A Shrek Party game (haven't played it) and Pac-Man Fever(haven't played that either). I have and enjoy both MPs. I'm going to pick up the other ones eventually.
RCmodeler #14 Posted January 5, 2004 I recall seeing some sort of Pac-Man Party game for the Gamecube and PS2, though the actual name of the game escapes me at the moment. Yeah, I listed the name in Message #1. What are Ben-Wai balls? (scratching head) Well, I recommended DDR and Space Channel 5. That's good enough for parties. sigma #15 Posted January 5, 2004 I recall seeing some sort of Pac-Man Party game for the Gamecube and PS2, though the actual name of the game escapes me at the moment. Might be worth checking out.I believe your talking about Pacman vs. It comes free with something and something, and players either control pacman or a ghost. You'll want to turn down the sound though, as there is alot of overdramtic commentary. And is Ben-Wai Balls another name for Magical Drop, or is it a different series altogether? RCmodeler #16 Posted January 6, 2004 After I left here, I searched the net for Ben-Wa Balls. These were originally invented by Chinese or Japanese women (no one's sure), and they consisted of a hollow ball filled with a smaller ball inside. The hollow ball is inserted into a woman's vagina, and the smaller ball bouncing around in the larger ball creates stimulation. And the name of the Pac-Man party game is Pac-Man Fever. It plays similar to Mario Party, but no where near as good. And finally, a "party game" is a game that consists of lots of minigames. The person who wins the most minigames is the Overall Winner. sku_u #21 Posted January 7, 2004 If your looking to buy a game with minigames, why not just buy the Eye Toy? The games are amusing. Especially if you're drunk when you play them.

Yes, but it's hard to not only get over the ridiculous feel to it, but to get over the shyness of it in the first place.
