sku_u #5 Posted January 9, 2004 That is a bit excessive. That seller will scare off some bidders with slow connections.
ussexplorer #6 Posted January 9, 2004 Mmmmm, I love model trains. I love them so, so much. I do think sometimes the price is a little much. I remeber back when I was a kid in the early 80's. I went to a swap meet in california and people was selling boxes of old trainsets from lionel. Some rust and some pretty good for about 10.00-35.00. Now it seems they want a premium price for them. Laters.
bcprs1 #7 Posted January 9, 2004 I actually collect model trains and Lionel State Sets are very collectable. I think the seller wants the buyers to see what great condition the trains are in. I have sold some trains on ebay in the past and you won't believe how many questions you get asked. The value of the trains can vary depending on how complete they are. I think this is why the seller went out of his way to show every angle. I would expect this trains to get a very high price. They are in great condition. bcprs1 #8 Posted January 9, 2004 LOL, I just realized that the auction had already ended. I guess they didn't get as high a price as I thought.
