herr professor #1 Posted January 9, 2004 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...0&category=8089 would this upgrade a tt to run falcon dsp junk? not interested, just curious
lais #2 Posted January 9, 2004 I seem to recall that some or all of SoundPool's Falcon DSP audio products were tweaked to be compatible, after all, the DSP daughter board for the StarTrack is a 56002 (same family as the Falcon's) but for most stuff like games and demos which tend to be coded very specifically for the Falcon's DSP, no. You'd pick up a used Falcon for the price of a StarTrack/DSP combo, which was designed primarily as a very high quality audio card for studio use, its specifications far exceed those of the stock Falcon audio system. herr professor #3 Posted January 10, 2004 so what kinda software (if any) supported it?
krupkaj #4 Posted January 10, 2004 On StarTrack page is writen that XBIOS driver exists so I think that software which use XBIOS calls should work.
lais #5 Posted January 11, 2004 so what kinda software (if any) supported it? It comes with its own digital recording/mastering software. Check the SWE web site for more details.
jens #6 Posted January 12, 2004 It's a thing which should have been mentioned there: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=41386 I'd be glad to use this in combination with a TT and V-Trax. The TT of course having all its possible 266 megs of Ram and a four meg graphics-card.
krupkaj #7 Posted January 12, 2004 But in case you have gfx card installed you have VME slot occupied. I am sure you cannot put two VME devices to standard TT case :-( I would like to know how to fork VME bus for two or more slots.
