StanJr #1 Posted January 11, 2004 Well, this marks the second time I've had trouble with a SEGA cart. (see my Tapper woes of the past two years). My new pal, taylorcomm had a Star Trek that wouldn't play, so I took it on as a challenge to fix, but I'm at a loss. Maybe YOU can help! When you put the game it, it fires up fine. Title screen runs normal, but when you start a game, the enterprise zooms into the sector to engage the EVIL Klingons, and the game IMMEDIATELY locks and the screen goes totally orange. I've cleaned it with alcohol, pencil erasers. I'm using my sunnyvale. I've tried wiggling, everything. I'm not sure what to do beyond this. There's nothing rattling inside the cart. I am very sad. My only thought, could it be the system? taylorcomm was also using a six switch system. Are there any known compatability issues? Help?

vb_master #3 Posted January 11, 2004 I fixed a "Dead" Burger time cartridge by removing a wire that was there. What did it do? I don't know, but it worked! Today i added a wire to a Space Invaders Tele-games cart, and I was able to make some cool screens!
