trapping the centipede

I've being trying to figure out how to do that trick where you trap the

centipede with no success. How is it done?

Kevin Butler describes pretty well how to do it in his faq at:

It can be done with fewer shrooms than he describes though

 

Once you have it trapped, when the spider comes out it won't be able to erase a shroom on the side it comes out from, but if it gets to the other side it can erase a shroom and mess up your trap
