AtariKing #2 Posted January 12, 2004 You can get a TV-Game switch at Radio Shack. maybe that's all you need. Happy Classic Gaming!
tillenterprises #3 Posted January 12, 2004 Better yet, use one of these for a much better picture and sound quality: http://www.atariage.com/store/product_info...&products_id=
Voch #4 Posted January 12, 2004 Better yet, use one of these for a much better picture and sound quality:http://www.atariage.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=31&products_id=42 Agreed. These make the video "leak" much less. You may be able to snag 'em from Radio Shack, too. Voch
Adrian M #5 Posted January 12, 2004 "Unopened Atari 2600"? So you found a VCS new/sealed in the box? Please clarify!

These make the video "leak" much less. You may be able to snag 'em from Radio Shack, too. Voch You can find these things on www.froogle.com for about 50 cents a piece. I used to buy them bulk and sell them on ebay but I got sick of dealing with these small things. I used to get 4.50 on ebay and gave the buyer free shipping. It won't make you much money that is why I quit.
Adrian M #7 Posted January 12, 2004 You can indeed find these items at Radio Shack as others have mentioned, but be sure you know EXACTLY (part # or a clear description) what you're looking for since they have a plethora of other near-identical connectors that won't work. bjk7382 #8 Posted January 12, 2004 They are called "F Male to RCA Female" go type that into froogle and you will fine the silver and gold ones. Only a few cheap prices right now.
CPUWIZ #9 Posted January 12, 2004 Errm, a unopened 2600 system has all parts to hook it up.
D.Yancey #10 Posted January 12, 2004 Maybe it's the console itself that was unopened and not the box?? Once you get it running, I know you will enjoy it!
spongebue #11 Posted January 13, 2004 Errm, a unopened 2600 system has all parts to hook it up. I think he didn't want to use the switchbox, especially if he has an entertainment center, because then it is a pain in the butt to switch
Jerseywiseguy #12 Posted January 13, 2004 well I found it opened but still in the box(meaning the original box it was carried in) It has the adapter and everything, my thing is can I just get the "f male to RCA female" and then hook it up directly to the t.v or do I need that video to tv converter? Thats my question, I already ordered a couple of games but I just want to be able to play them as soon as I get them, so I want to make sure I have the right connections.thanks for the replies everyone. hanglyman #13 Posted January 13, 2004 Yep, thats all you need, you can ditch the cruddy old switchbox (interference generator) The "f male to RCA female" adapter replaces it
D.Yancey #14 Posted January 13, 2004 @hanglyman: Possible answer to the quote in your signature-- They needed to keep themselves warm while flying, communicate on the radio/intercomm, use oxygen mask and sun visor. The pilots helmets/head gear functioned for much more than safety.
