elviticus #1 Posted January 13, 2004 I'm so pissed .. . I won a "computer intro" w/manual from ebay for a good price, it arrived WITHOUT manual. Am I wrong in thinking I'll really need the manual for this one? Also, I'm pretty new to the Odyssey - how difficult is it to find a copy w/manual?? The spiral bound book is more than 100 pages long and talks about hex representations of Assembler code. This is not BASIC programming. So you do need the manual. Problem is that there is no way to save your work. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA

PickAxePete #4 Posted January 16, 2004 did you email the seller about advertising the manual, but not providing it? I did a search for: "Computer Intro" and got some interesting links for the Odyssey cartridge. Computer Intro I didn't read through the above link, but I think it give some, if not all of what you want.

PickAxePete #6 Posted January 16, 2004 the one thing i liked about my Odyssey 2 groiwng up was the "learning" series. I enjoyed playing Crypto-Logic and also had fun with Math-o-Magic, Echo. Even though my parents chose the O2 over Atari for the reason that it was a "computer" and not just a video game, they didn't buy us many of the Educational Series cartridges. I've printed Computer Intro (Superbee's link cuz it's better, thanks) and I've been reading it explain basic computer knowledge I should have been learning back in 1980. I'm sure if I had programs more like Computer Intro, I would be a bit smarter with the workings of computer language. Dang. I probably would've also been more interested in buying more educational cartridges/cassettes for my Vic-20. I wasn't thinking of getting Computer Intro off eBay, but after reading the manual, I may consider it.

superbee #10 Posted January 17, 2004 Well, I ever visit your site. BTW: When you'll post the manual of Le Tresor Engloutti on line? Rafael Cardoso
elviticus #11 Posted January 20, 2004 Thanks everyone for the replies! Contacted the seller, he was cool and gave me 1/2 price. Then, I downloaded the manual and printed it out - all is well!!
Phosphor Dot Fossils #12 Posted January 21, 2004 Sounds like another satisfied smoogJC customer to me. Man, if it is that guy, he's ripped me off as well. The darn jerk! I have reserved a very special room in hell for that guy. I've seen and steered clear of his auctions, but at the same time I've been contacted through my website by countless people who won an eBay auction for a cart + manual bundle, only to get the cart by itself, asking if I had the docs for numerous O2 and INTV games. And 90% of the time, guess who the seller was? smoogJC. I normally don't go off on people I haven't dealt with, but I've seen enough fallout from his auctions to classify him as a first-rate jerk. Anyway, glad we got this sorted out - heck, I don't even have the Computer Intro! manual anymore.
ozyr #13 Posted January 22, 2004 Well, I ever visit your site. BTW: When you'll post the manual of Le Tresor Engloutti on line? Rafael Cardoso Well.... I've been meaning to post that for over 6 months now... In fact, I'm behind on doing many of the foreign Philips games. I really need to get that stuff done! Thanks for the reminder - and knowing that someone actually saw that 'coming soon' line that's been there since last year!
