Mr.FoodMonster #1 Posted January 17, 2004 Well, this was originaly going to be me talking about my experiance at the arcade today, but I think it would be better if everyone talks about it. Anyway, me and a few buddies go to the arcade every now and then, like 2 times a month, or whenever we have the cash. So, today we go. When I'm walking up to the door I see posted 'Outrun 2!' and that moment I shat my pants. I RAN in there, down the stairs, and hopped on. Luckily I always bring a few quarters before I need to visit the change machines. If you dont remember this classic Sega arcade racing game, then get out of my house. There are a total of 8 cars now, 2 beginner 2 novice 2 experianced and 2 expert or something. Pretty cool! I played 2/3 modes, Outrun Mode, and Heart Attack mode. Outrun mode is basicly the same as the old outrun. Heart Attack mode is where you try to impress the girl you are driving with by completing tasks, and getting hearts. Its usally 'Pass the Cars!' or 'Drift!' and is a great mode to play. If I was good enough, I could also go online and check my stats compaired with players around the US! If you have a local arcade, go check this one out! After that, I did my regular stuff, New fighters, old fighters, DDR, other various rythm games, older games (they have a lot of them, Joust, DK, Frooger ect.) a few redemption games (I'm saving up for a decent prize!) shooters and all kinds of stuff. I really like the way this arcade is run, they get latest and greatest, as well as the oldies. Makes a great mix. I usaly go with about $30 and didnt spend all this time, because games that are $1 are starting to last a lot longer then when they first came out. I might tell an intresting story everytime that I go to the arcade, might not. Share your Arcade Escapades! PS: Don't move to the Coin-Op forum, PLEASE! SteveW #2 Posted January 17, 2004 The few arcades around me seem to be full of early to mid-90's games that nobody really liked to begin with. And the arcade's always empty. People just don't play arcade games like they used to. I don't go into those places anymore - it just depresses me.

Tempest #4 Posted January 17, 2004 Lord of the Rings pinball No kidding? I'll have to try and make it out to my local arcade this weekend. Besides, I'm over due for some Tokyo Wars... Tempest
Mr.FoodMonster #5 Posted January 17, 2004 Tempest, where do you go to? The gameworks in Great lakes crossing? or do you go to Pinball Pete's, like me? Oh, thats where all of this was, in case you live in the area. Never seen LotR pinball, but they do have the new simpsons pinball game, wich is very nice. Lots of voices, very Simpson world involved. There is an itchy and scratchy multiball, only 2 balls!
