Roller Coaster Tycoon/Monopoly Party- Xbox`

Are they good? I really want a good money managing game.

If you want Roller Coaster Tycoon (or 2 which ever) that would be better off left to PC. On Xbox it really doesn't feel right with a controller. But with parts of Roller Coaster Tycoon, some of the parks you get any amount of cash you need, other times "X" amount of different roller coasters. The only parts that are about money is to do "X" amount is ticket sales, or food sales.

 

Monopoly Party couldn't tell you. Haven't played it. I don't even like Monopoly.

I got Roller Coaster Tycoon for PS2 and it is a very good money managing game you have to pay your workers hire em fire em and hire mechanics to work on your rides not to mention cleanup people ticket prices restrooms and even hire ride developers and budget in new rides it is a very in depth game on money manageing :-)

Roller Coaster Tycoon is the BEST PC game I own and gets ALL kinds of play! I'm not sure how it translates to the XBLOX, but if you are interested in it, I HIGHLY recommend you spend $10 at your local software outlet and get it for the PC.

I own RollerCoaster Tycoon for the Xbox and I hated the controls at first. I thought it was total crap, but once I got used to how sensitive the sticks are and how to jump around using the trigger buttons, I was zooming from window to window and having fun.

 

I like it better than the PC demo I played a while ago because I don't like playing games sitting at my computer (mouse or no mouse). I'd much rather play a game on a console. Maybe future systems will come with a 3D VR glove that is faster and better than a mouse and doesn't give you Carpal Tunnel Syndrome like a mouse does. Similar to this:

Back on topic, I like RollerCoaster Tycoon for the Xbox. The people seem to be more real in how they react to things than in Theme Park on the 3DO and Sim Theme Park on the old Playstation. They are so smart that they even know when they are under things. For example, I built a big shelter over a section of path using a raised path that wasn't connected to anything, it was just a big roof. So, if it is raining and they have their umbrellas out and then they walk under my shelter, they put their umbrellas away until they walk out from under it again. That is cool.

 

The main thing I don't like is that there aren't any cheats to get unlimited money or all rides and things like that. Maybe that will change after I get a Game Shark.

Never played it, but if it was like my version on the 3DO, RollerCoaster Tycoon is much better (smarter people, fewer tedious tasks, easier programming of your employees, better rides, and so on).

I like Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis for the Xbox much better than Theme Park. Interface is no where near as clunky, IMO. Lots to do and build, plus you get to fly a chopper.

Don't buy Monopoly party looking for a money management game. It's a very average game, nearly impossible to watch what every player is doing...and if you have more than 1 human player...it's easier to just bust out a real board and play.

 

But if you are a solo gamer, and really like Monopoly...it isn't horrible.
