tantone56 #1 Posted January 23, 2004 looks like atari might have a hit on there hands http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/driver...tml?tag=mp_2to9 might be better than gta in the way that it's more realistic
Brad2600 #2 Posted January 23, 2004 Hmm. It had better top Stuntman AND the first 2 Driver games. Realism doesn't mean shit if the game PLAYS like shit.
tantone56 #3 Posted January 23, 2004 I liked the first two driver games they were the real origional gta's that led to gta3. For it's time the graphics were good
Ze_ro #4 Posted January 23, 2004 might be better than gta in the way that it's more realistic Because y'know, more realistic is ALWAYS better. When my character gets shot, it makes sense the he dies instantly... either that, or spends the next 6 months in the hospital and re-habilitation. That's the best part of the game. --Zero

And it's really good when someone is hit with Mitsuragi's sword and they get sliced right in half, or that all those people claiming to be "wizards" can't use all those "spells"
Starscream #6 Posted January 23, 2004 I am looking foward to Driver 3 big time. Loved the first 2. Hopefully they didn't GTA it too much.
tyranthraxus #7 Posted January 25, 2004 The first two were great racing games. I can't believe its taken this long to make a third one.
shep #8 Posted January 25, 2004 I dont really care for any of the GTA/Driver type titles....
Brad2600 #9 Posted January 25, 2004 So? Anyway, Driver 2 was a piece of shite graphically. I mean, how many of you still play it? Driver was really good and I'm hoping that Driver 3 will be a lot better.
sigma #10 Posted January 25, 2004 So?Isn't he allowed to state his opinion, even though it's different from "I love the first games"? But if he says that Simpsons hit and run isn't good because it's too much like GTA I'm going to go to his house and slap him.

tantone56 #13 Posted January 25, 2004 Driver 2 was a piece of shite graphically. I mean, how many of you still play it? I dont really think it was so much the game production teams fault as it was ps1 just couldnt handle that gameplay and graphics. But when driver 2 first came it I loved it, even more than driver one because you could get out of the car in this one.
Room 34 #14 Posted January 25, 2004 I thought the first Driver was fairly dull. It didn't seem like you could interact with the environment enough. (Of course, I was a nut for the Carmageddon games at the time.) I think Infogrames/Atari's best game so far is Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee... I want more games like that!
