INDY 500 Release Year

HI, I'm working on a Hack of the classic Indy500 and I like to know the release year of the original. Rob Mitchel tell me that it's 1977, how can we be sure about the correct year ?

BDW in the game profile there aren´t any year = n/a

If I recall it was one of the 2600's release titles, that would make it 1977.

Yes, Indy 500 was one of the initial releases, which would put it clean in 1977.
