Sega Genesis power supply needed!

Anyone have an extra Genesis power supply? I can't play my genesis. I can trade a couple common 2600 carts or something. Just let me know I have other stuff to trade with as well. :wink:

I have two or three Nintendo adapters - Which if I remember right will work. (it's been a few years since I got rid of my Genny). If you are interested, PM me with the Atari games you have for trade.

 

Oh, and if you aren't interested, I'd say check a local thrift. They usually have a ton of Genesis and NES adapters for like a dollar a piece.

A NES supply won't work. Something to do with the DC imput or something like that.

NES power supplies put out 9V AC.

 

Genesis power supplies put out 9V DC.

 

If you want to fry your genesis, go ahead and use an NES adaptor on it.

 

It seems like every time I see someone post looking for a Genesis power supply someone suggests they use an NES adaptor.

Ive fried a sega cd that way I have a few genesis adapters i can hook you up with. Let me know if you need the first ver. Or the second version. Ive never had a version 3 so i dont know the type of adapter it uses. we can talk about trade later. Game gear / Master system converter?
