From where should I get a CD burner?

Hello --

 

I would like to get an external CD burner for my computer (no room for an internal with that becoming obselete zip drive). I know - I'm living in the Dark Ages and don't have one :-). I would like one as inexpensive as possible, but reliable. Anybody order any online from somewhere they trust or have a low-cost, but acceptable brand. Anyone have a used one they would sell (I'd much prefer an AA member to Ebay). Should I just go to BestBuy and pick one up!

Do any of the DVD-R/W work as CD-R/W? I haven't looked but yuo might want to consider both the way prices are dropping nowadays.

Get one by Sony or Plextor.

CPUWIZ -- I really don't want it too slow because the computer in my room has the Internet connection, but my wife and I would both use it for burning, downloading, etc.

That thing never fails. You can burn anything onto a normal CD-R(W)

I ended up getting a Sony one from Best Buy last year. After rebates the thing cost me like $30... It's a 48/24/48 and it has yet to create a coaster and likes practically every brand of CDR (unlike my old Creative Labs 8/4/32 drive which hated many brands of CDR and made a coaster every other disc...)
