MaxSpeed #2 Posted December 22, 2002 This is the best Atari Site, while I value the others, this is the best and most active. Thanks Al and Albert and to the many who frequently post and keep this place so dynamic. I just decided to revive this old topic as it is still true ! Rob Mitchell #5 Posted December 23, 2002 Yup! RGVC was getting kinda scattered .. and the inappropriate posts would show up now and then. RecGamesVectrex is still happening .. but a difinitive Vectrex site with comprehensive database along the lines of AA is needed. sku_u #6 Posted December 23, 2002 This is the most comprehensive actively updated Atari site out there by far. If we're not including this site, I'd have to add Atarihq.
Gregory DG #7 Posted December 23, 2002 Well, I've always thought TAT was a nice site too.
t.skid #8 Posted December 23, 2002 Actually, TAT IS a nice site, too!
mos6507 #9 Posted December 23, 2002 Wow. Kirk right under Khan. What a coincidence.
Rob Mitchell #10 Posted December 23, 2002 What is TAT? Kirk will never be under Kahn! Kirk superior to Kahn. Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA

SS #12 Posted December 23, 2002 RGVC was getting kinda scattered .. and the inappropriate posts would show up now and then. Agreed. I still read RGVG every day but I don't post very much any more. Plus, my classic gaming interests have pretty much narrowed down to Atari systems anyway in the past few months. So, AA is definately the place to be for me. (Most of the cool people from RGVC are over here anyway!)
Lifeguard #13 Posted December 23, 2002 Whoa--now were getting into an anatomy discussion! This discussion is degrading quickly. P.S. -- I saw a few Raiders cheerleeders on television today with santa hats on. I've since revised my Christmas wish list. P.S.S. -- All atari sites are good. Some are better though. King Atari #14 Posted December 23, 2002 AtariAge and Atarinvader all the way.
MegaManFan #15 Posted December 23, 2002 Agreed. I still read RGVG every day but I don't post very much any more. Plus, my classic gaming interests have pretty much narrowed down to Atari systems anyway in the past few months. So, AA is definately the place to be for me. (Most of the cool people from RGVC are over here anyway!) Heh, no argument. I even noticed that Mr. Jessop migrated over in a recent thread, so I think that just about rounds out the "cool RGVC people" coming to AA. There must be only one or two that aren't here yet - sadly I think Mr. Rivet is one of them!
NE146 #16 Posted December 23, 2002 Oddly enough though.. Everyone's favorite Gaming Guru: FBEAGCFBADGCBEAD (aka DrSMITH666) has yet to make the jump.. any idea?
MegaManFan #17 Posted December 23, 2002 Oddly enough though.. Everyone's favorite Gaming Guru: FBEAGCFBADGCBEAD (aka DrSMITH666) has yet to make the jump.. any idea? I think that's because everybody carefully avoided telling "our favorite Gaming Guru FBEAGCFBADGCBEAD" about it. Nobody wants to read five more threads on AA about how That 70's Show used Intellevision before it was even available in stores, or about how much he misses the guy who played Dr. Smith in Lost in Space, or why gameboy games are not really "cartridges" at all, et cetera. He's one thing I honestly don't miss about RGVC, at all! - Steve (who just posted a REALLY long response to Crackers there)
Thomas Jentzsch #18 Posted December 23, 2002 - Steve (who just posted a REALLY long response to Crackers there) Still discussing them same sad old topic
MegaManFan #19 Posted December 23, 2002 Still discussing them same sad old topic Actually, I told him it was my last post about it, here there or anywhere else. And I meant it. I'm not discussing it any longer. I was just really insulted he was calling your conversions "hacks" and saying that they should be Open Source. SS #20 Posted December 24, 2002 Oddly enough though.. Well, if he did end up over here I’d at least finally have an excuse to try out that “ignore” button.
