Bryan
I downloaded several of the disk images before www.atari8bit-software.de went down. Anyone have any others to swap? -Bry
TMR
i've got 243 Homesoft game disks (42.6Mb uncompressed) and i think that's the entire collection; if enough people want, i can drop 'em to a place on me web server as long as everyone promises to be gentle since it's not got a massive amount of bandwidth...? It'd only be a temp measure, but if someone wants them all to recreate the site elsewhere...? =-)
Bryan
Wow... that would be great. I'd prefer to have them all zipped into one download if possible. -Bry
kheffington
I have 3 Holmes disks that should contain every thing that was on the website. Too much to email, but could copy them for you if you want them.
doncleth
To kheffington and TMR, It would be great if you can post the files in a website so we can download. Thanks, Don
krupkaj
I have them all Demos 102 disks Demos-diskette 129 Games 251 Games-Basic 225 Games-diskette 761 190 MB uncompressed
TMR
Mine are all on our web server here, i won't post the link publicly because i don't have a massive amount of bandwidth available - i'll send it to people who PM, which gives me a way to judge how much of a battering our box is taking. =-)
kheffington
To kheffington and TMR, It would be great if you can post the files in a website so we can download. Thanks, Don I have a 3 CD set that is supposed to contain all of the files available on the Holmes website plus more. I have attached the readme file from CD 1 to this post. CD 1 is 580 MB and contains over 6000 atr files, mostly games. CD 2 is 647 MB and contains around 20,000 files. Files from ANALOG and ANTIC along with programs and languages for Atari. Also some Atari ST files. CD 3 is 641 MB and contains a lot bbs files, etc. As I am sure you can appreciate, I do not have the webspace for all of this and the bandwidth it would end up consuming. I am willing to provide copies to someone who does. Or if you really want copies of these disks, PM me. I would be willing to make copies of the 3 CDs for anyone that wants them. No charge, but you would need to provide 3 blank CDs and a prestamped self-addressed mailer for their return to you.
rodcastler_two
Homesoft's site is down again (http://www.mushca.com/f/atari/). Do any of you know if there's a mirror site somewhere else? Thank you

rodcastler_two
Oh really? well that's interesting. I'm glad to hear it's up. I'll have to check what's with my ISP's DNS. Now that I take a closer look it does state ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED. Weird. Thanks for checking and coming back to me so quickly! _The Doctor__
Rod put optional/alternate DNS ip's in your router or your lin win tel box, you can assign it and check if you can reach the site then
miker
Not sure about (non-)working site? Here's solution I use when I'm not sure about the above: https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ Edited August 15, 2019 by miker
jefffulton
You can't search for it on Google anymore. And the site is down everyone once is a while. I tried my bookmark and it's working: http://www.mushca.com/f/atari/ It's not a bad idea to download all of the disks and files again periodically anyway. Kyle22
I never use the evil Goo. Try yippy.com. Thanx 4 the link. Edit: go to yippy.com, search for "homesoft atari archive" and click the first link. Simple. Edited August 16, 2019 by Kyle22
