Spongebob Squarepant: Battle for Bikini Bottom

Allrightie... I just rented this game for my GameCube, and I have to say that it's nice to find a game based on a Nicktoon that DOESN'T suck!

 

The animation is great, the sense of humor from the TV show is there, and with two exceptions, all the voice actors do their parts (one of the exceptions is because I'm pretty sure Ernest Borgnine wouldn't want to be in a video game, but I digress...)

 

The level of difficulty is perfect, the levels are not short, and not a cakewalk either! So far, I've gotten to thepoint where you can choose to be Spongebob, Patrick Star, or Sandy. Sandy can karate chop, or use her lasso to defeat enemies. She can also use her lasso to fly, and to swing from hook to hook (the hooks are shaped like Texas ) Patrick ccan throw objects, or use his belly to kill robots. Spongebob has innumerable moves that he can do.

 

The only gripe I have with the game is, of course, camera angles, but unlike one of my other favorite GC games, Pac Man World 2, you can easily swing the camera around in each level to get a better view.

 

Rent this, and give it a go! I think you may like it!

Dunno... I've played for 3 hours and am only 13% the way through.

I like it as well, I am at about 73%, I had put it aside a couple of weeks ago but I will definately pick it back up and try to finish it.

Ok, I am oficcially ticked off at the game. The first couple levels are large, but not impossible, but some of them -- MermaidMan's lair and Rock Bottom for another are just totally freaking INSANE!

 

Still a great game, but the level layout can be quite puzzling.

I don't have Battle for Bikini Bottom....yet. But as I understand it this game is avail for all three of the major platfroms. Xbox, Cube, and PS2. When I do get it I am sure I will get the Cube version.

 

Last Nick game I picked up was Revenge of the Flying Dutchman for my PS2. Okay game, bit too easy, and my PS2 doesn't like that purple surface it was done with. But then, this is the only PS2 game my PS2 has read errors happen with. Actually, I don't get any errors, it just kicks me back to the PS2 file browser during game level loads.

Battle for Bikinni bottoms sounds like Sponge bob is going after sandy. Snicker. I'm sure it is an okay game.

 

 

Wishing I had a newer game system than a super nintendo besides my computer.
