Philflound #26 Posted August 15, 2013 I don't open sealed boxes unless there is something under the shrinkwrap (bugs got in), or the shrinkwrap has gotten so torn it might as well be off. I have so many copies of most of the games, I can play them really any time I want. If and when I ever sell my collection, I'll get a lot more for it because games are sealed. pis #27 Posted August 15, 2013 Well i understand your logic moneywise. I know that i would never, ever get propperly paid for the labour and love i have put in to this hobby, if i were to sell my boxes/carts. So i guess i probably never will. Therefore i don´t have to worry about the value of my collection, becouse for me it´s absolutelly 100% priceless! I do love boxes though, and i kind of want to by a sealed game now just to open it. I haven´t done that i more than a year. Cheers.
mkiker2089 #28 Posted August 15, 2013 My thinking is that while games are meant to be played there are people who want sealed games. Rather I agree or not they still exist. Therefore my opening a sealed box is in a small way destroying something the prize.
Philflound #29 Posted August 16, 2013 Actually what you're doing is increasing the value theoretically of sealed games. Every time you open one, there is one less perfectly untouched game in the world. For those of you who do open the games, I'd suggest buying the plastic protective boxes for the games. They actually look great inside of them, and make them look new and unused. Phil

They are cheap, do alot to help keep the boxes in good shape, and the boxes do actually look nicer when they're in them.
