Head over Heels

Recommended Posts

Anyone remembers this game for the ATARI 800 XL? It´s an action-adventure with HiRes 3D isometric graphics.

It was made by Ocean, released for Amstrad,C64,ATARI ST,AMIGA and probably Spectrum and the ATARI 8 Bit (and maybe a DOS version ?)

I only know the budget "Hit Squad" version on cassette, don´t know if there is a real Ocean version for the XL.

The XL version is pretty much the same as the C64 version, Graphics 8 with 2 colors.I think the Amstrad version is the original, it runs at 320*200 with 4 colors, the AMIGA/ST are more colorful AFAIK.

A nice game for cartridge release , if there is only the cassette version.

BTW. There was a remake for the PC, someone released it last year, but I don´t remember the site were to download the game.

Yes, there is an Atari version of this nice game... and not seems to be "budget" game only. Do you remember this one appeared in one of the editions of ABBUC MAGAZINE in the past ? ;) It was full game with trainer mode which is very useful. :)

PC conversion is available here. 8)

amaroute is nice and outstanding soundtrack done by david whittaker, has 3d not 2d like the c64 but i never got far... too weird and it gets harder and harder as the sprite engine drops down.....

Nope.

It's sweet, detailed hires graphix!!! And good animated, too.

I wonder how they pack so many levels and gfx into this game (and it still works on 64 kb A8 as far as I know!).... and it would take some hours to finish it... 8)
