+davidcalgary29
I've noticed that a number of characters make "guest appearances" in other games. The most obvious example is Bentley Bear, who graced both Crystal Castles and Atari Karts. Can anyone add to the following duplicates I've found in Lynx games? 1. "Gates of Zendocon": the spider seems to reappear in "Cybervirus" and in "SoulStar" for the Jag. 2. "Electrocop": bipedal (but otherwise limbless) robots. In how many other games have these appeared? I've spotted them in "SoulStar" for the Jag and a number of other games.
chris_lynx1989
i can only think of battle wheels being repeated in some ways with cyber virus,as cyber virus used the same graphic engine on it as battle wheels was using. the backgrounds, and some graphics and sounds were carried over to cyber virus in many ways from what i've seen. it was not a horr- ible repeat of battle wheels though. also,if you look at "and" listen to the games done by handmade software you'll hear and possibly see some carry-overs on their games.i've noticed several similarities in the sounds and music from malibu bikini volleyball and battlezone 2000 and awesome golf and jimmy connors' tennis. atari did this themselves on some of their in-house or contracted stuff too. i have noticed this some on the epyx stuff as well,davidcalgary.--the lynxer -edit- i'm thinking, that some sounds from the gates of zendocon ended up being on xenophobe,as i remember. also, some sounds on pacland i recognize from other lynx games like xenophobe. Tempest
Robotron2048 and Joust use identical soudn effects. Probably, they were both done by Shadowsoft (those guys rocked!). Hell we could probably add some sounds to Centipede by stealing them from Robotron and Joust. i'm thinking, that some sounds from the gates of zendocon ended up being on xenophobe Could be. Some of them do sound familiar (like the laser frying sound). I'll have to look into that. Tempest
Gregory DG
Eyeballs. Atari seemed obsessed with floating eyeballs in their games. Both Gates of Zendocon and Crescent Galaxy have them. http://www.ataritimes.com/jaguar/reviews/rev_mcf.html

Yes, it's very obvious if you look at the Handmade Software games. All of them (not Power Factor?) uses the same color and music/sound scheme. Best example is the screem from Dracula used in Loopz But there is A LOT of sounds being used im many Lynx games. Shadowsoft, Songbird, Imagitec etc all have their own sound. About recycled graphics: One good example is the enemies in Remnant. You can see all of them was taken from the Jaguar game Protector.
