Would anyone be interested in Dungeons and Dragons magazines

Recommended Posts

I guess when D&D was popular (80s and early 90s), there were several magazines dedicated to D&D. They have more games in them, maps, all that stuff. I saw a box of 100+ issues at an antique store and wanted to make sure that there would be some interest before I picked them up. What would you pay for something like that?

Thanks,

Laura

Maybe $1 or less per issue. The early issues of Dragon magazine might

fetch $5-10 or more. However having said that I won't buy them off

ya ;) The late 80s and early 90s are cool because they have a column

called "The Role of Computers" which reviewed RPGs for the Apple II,

C64 and IBM. It also had a mail in hints section on RPG and adventure

games. I used to read that part on the newsstand all the time because

in the pre internet days finding good tips on games a friend hadn't beat

was a challenge.

Laura --

I collect Dragon magazine, but I'm not hardcore at all. I have issues 81-92 and I would like 69-80 if they have these issues. I would also possibly have interest in the earlier ones. I like the pre-1985 ones (am I stuck in the early '80s or what :D). They may also have Dungeon and White Dwarf. PM me and tell me what you have and the prices you were thinking about. I really don't want to pay too much for them and you may have better luck on Ebay (although it is tedious selling one by one). They are fun to read (Snarfquest, Dragon Mirth, etc.) Also, you should ckeck out the Knights of the Dinner Table (KOTDT) at most comic book shops (this is a modern comic) about gaming and they have funny references to Atari computers, the VIC-20 and classic games from time to time.

Take care Laura and pm me,

RG

Okay, I picked up these magazines. Most are Dragon Magazine and there are a few others as well. PM me if you're interested as I'd gladly trade them for games or manuals.

Thanks,

Laura
