Using this cart for hombrewn games ?

Recommended Posts

This is an opened Telegames 4K EPROM cartridge (Super Challenge Football).

Do you think it´s a good idea to use such a cartridge for "budget" 4K homebrewn games or the NTSC versions of the BitCorp games (which are all 4K) ?

These carts are similar to Activision carts, the boards fit into old 6-switch systems without problems and I have lots of them.

This would allow me to offer the NTSC BitCorp games (Space Tunnel, Open Sesame,Bobby is going home,Mission 3000,Snail against squirrel,Sea Monster, Dancing Plates,Phantom Tank) and probably others

for a very good price.

I also have 8K boards with EPROMs, but there is the problem with bankswitching, this makes these boards not too useful.

Why do you think so? What kind of bankswitching are they using.

Though maybe no homebrew is currently using that special bankswitching, it should be quite easy to adapt it.

I don´t know which method they used. These are the boards of Telegames version of Bump n Jump and AFAIK Quest for Quintana Roo and Kung Fu Superkicks are 8K,too.

I think someone already dumped them, so it should be possible to examine these games.

 Those are most likely using standard Atari F8 bankswitching, so a homebrew like Star Fire should work with them even without modifying.
