Joystick button remapping for StellaX?

Recommended Posts

I'm using StellaX to emulate my 2600 games, and have been using a gravis PS style controller until this week. I recently got a 2600 style usb stick from redoctane (nice!)

But the sole button is set for Button 2. StellaX doesn't seem to recognize this, and I can't find anywhere to change it, (a la the ZSNES button screen)

I tried Z26 today, and that worked, but I think I prefer StellaX. This should be a simple fix I would think. If it can't get changed in the EMU can I change it under windows somehow?

Thanks!

hello!

i'm also having the same trouble with my redoctane atari 2600 usb joystick...

windows maps the button as button #2, instead of button #1, and since there's only one button on the joystick, the button therefore doesn't work.

i use Stella for my atari emulation, but there's no joystick settings on the

version i have.

so, any ideas? any help would be appreciated!

StellaX version 1.4.1 has support for this. Simply start playing a game and press the 'Tab' key, then enter 'Event Remapping'. This is all fully described in Section 8 of the included manual, so I won't describe it again here.

If you're using an older version of StellaX (< 1.4.0), then it has no support for event remapping. Sorry, upgrade to the newest version :(

I'm looking for that joystick on redoctane but can't find it.

What are the options for finding replica or original 2600 sticks?
