Kangaroo sound

Hello all,

 

I recently installed the s-video upgrade for my 5200 from 8-bit domain. Sound and picture are great, however the opening music in Kangaroo seems distorted (as does the sound in Ms. Pac-man). All other sounds seem fine. Does this sound right? I turn the volume down low and it's still distorted. I'd like to know if maybe my soldering is a little off (I split the stereo jack into two RCA jacks) or if other people are experiencing this (either with the upgrade or with the RF connection).

I don't have Kangaroo but my Ms. Pac Man sounds fine through my s-video upgraded 5200.

I always thought the opening tune for Kangaroo sounded a bit distorted on certain notes, like they either tried to play too many notes at once or played that note too loud. It was like that before my video mod though.

Yep. The tune in 5200/8bit Kangaroo is notoriously loud... to the point is does seem to get distorted!

..it's just that way.
