what is the deal with blank carts?

can you create copies of other games or something? if you can, how exactly do you do this? what is needed for it?

eprom burner, or for the blank carts you are probly talking about used the Unimex Game Copier. You put a cartrige in it, and a blank unimex cart and it would copy the game to the blank one.

'blank carts' are mostly used for making Homebrews. Homebrews are games that are made nowadays by people who still love the system (quite a few brewers on the message boards) The carts have an EPROM, and to get a game on there you use an EPROM burner, just like a CD burner, it puts the game on there so you can play it on a system. I'm sure someone will provide a link for more detail, but thats the basics of it.
