Experience with www.buyritegames.com?

I think I am participating in a huge scam. Not only has my oder not been sent after much time, but the customer service phone number is continually busy (I have tried it 40 times) and the e-mail address they leave is not answered.

 

Does anyone have experience with the company?

 

Did you ever get your games?

 

How did you get through?

I've only dealt with them once, and it went generally ok (YEARS ago they were selling the Telegames Jag releases for like $20 off), but the overall impression is they're a very, VERY bad company who manages to stay afloat with too good to be true prices and horrible, horrible service.

Hopefully you paid with a credit card-- if so, start working with your credit card company to get the charge reversed.. that'll get their attention.

Buyrite should be called buywrong games. I ended up having to do a chargeback through my credit card company for items that I ordered that they didn't have in stock. They are a bunch of scammers.

Ahem. Buyritegames has a HORRIBLE reputation. I don't think you've been "scammed" so much as you've fallen into a deal with a very shoddy, untrustworthy, lack-of-any-kind-of-assistance, fly by night business. If at all possible, pull your money out NOW. Nothing you've ordered is worth the hassle. And you need to do a Google on them and try not to weep by what you find.

Maybe there should be a list like the recomended traders list, but for individuals and companies not to deal with.

Buy rite is located in Raleigh NC they work out of a small store the trouble with them is they dont have hafe the stuff that is listed on their website. I would not and have never ordered from them but i do from time to time buy from their store in raleigh i have picked up some nice 7800 stuff there and a few 2600 games i didn't have. But all and all they suck!

Are those guys STILL AROUND!? With all the constant complaints I've heard about BuyRite over the years, you'd think they would have went under a long, looooong time ago.

There's no good central place to warn people about them, so as more and more people start collecting games, they look like a fairly legit and CHEAP site to get stuff....

 

They'll probably never go away unless they pull some major fraud and get taken down bigtime.

I tried to order some Jag games from them a couple years ago.. I waited and WAITED and E-mailed and E-mailed and got No reply.

From what I'v eheard, some of the stuff they've pulled IS fraud. They just haven't been sued yet.

I think it is a pretty good idea to have a not to deal with companies thread with one of those ! marks next to it. I think I remember seeing this on the forum a little while back about how bad buyrite is. Unfortenutley this is not the first thread to complain about buyrite
