places to shop for carts besides ebay?

Recommended Posts

hi all. I am having a bit of trouble finding carts for my newly aquired systems. besides ebay is there anyplace online that sells these? I would hate to have to try bidding on complete systems in order to get a decent amount of carts.

I got almost half of my current collection from http://www.vintagefunworld.com/

I don't know what kind of experiences anybody else has had with them, but I had quite a bit of email correspondence with him before i bought anything and he always responded fairly promptly answered my questions fully. Alot of the games were much cheaper there than other places. The frogger cart I bought from him did have small bt of label damage but it was much cheaper than I had seen it anywhere else. I'm sure if you need pristine labels you can email him before hand and make sure the cart you want is in the best condition.

www.best-electronics-ca.com i think thats the right link? Some of their prices are high but they are very reliable ship fast and all their stuff is high quality.

i think i posted this so many times i should have it in my Sig.

the best place to go is right HERE! AtariAge Baby!!! 8)

just go to the market place and post your wanted list. there are soooo many players and collectors on this site that have many extras that before you know it you'll have as big as a collection as CPUWIZ! :ponder: ok, maybe not as much as CPUWIZ!

good luck with your collecting!

Rick

Well, lemme tell you about Chris over there. I ordered some 7800 sticks last week, and he made a mistake -- he sent them to another customer who ordered them at the same time. So, he's sending me four games (2 for the 2600, one for the NES and another for the Sega CD) to make up the wait I'll have to "endure."

That, folks, is class. I'm picking up an 8-bit (800XL, probably) and some carts soon, and you'd better believe I'm sending my business his way.

I just discovered something strange. I was looking around for Philips CD-i stuff at http://www.collectorscardsandgames.com/games.htm since Sku_U said they had good prices. After that, I Googled around for more CD-i stuff, and I found this site. http://www.videogametrader.com/index.html They have the EXACT SAME STUFF as Collector's Cards and Games, but they charge a little more. And I mean they have exactly the same inventory. If you look in their Vectrex sections, you'll see what I mean. I guess that when a customer orders something at the Videogame Trader website, somebody runs across town and buys it from the Collector's Cards and Games store location. And marks it up to swindle a little profit.

this last weekend I went to our not so local trade center and they had some old atari stuff. they were smoking something really good when they priced the stuff that they had. they were selling Pac-Man for 8.00. nope this wasn't a brand new in the box copy either. it looked like the cart was wandering in the desert for a few years with no water and a little kid following close behind smacking it with a hammer. they also had a busted up 2600 jr. with nothing included for 60.00. this one looked like the kid actually caught it.
