Alcopoper #1 Posted February 24, 2004 All right, here we go: with a slight 10 year delay, I finally got my first own Jaguar. Just to play AvP - a game that freaked me out when I played it at first. Now, I hooked up the Jag to my TV, using an antenna-Jag splitter. 1) I can only insert modules, when my Jag is switched off? 2) Game inserted, Jaguar roars, see the BLACK background with the RED writing. Seconds later, I see a RED background with RED writing on it, that is framed with a thin black line. Is this normal? I can't remeber that from earlier days. 3) Nothing happens. How long does it take to load the game? 4) If I move the Cartridge forth and back, the Jag tends go go on and off. (slack joint ? just old??)
panamajoe #2 Posted February 24, 2004 1) I can only insert modules, when my Jag is switched off? Yes, insert them only, when the Jag is powered off! 2) Game inserted, Jaguar roars, see the BLACK background with the RED writing. Seconds later, I see a RED background with RED writing on it, that is framed with a thin black line. Is this normal? I can't remeber that from earlier days. If the red background pops up, there´s something wrong with you Jag. Normaly it´s simply dust/ dirt in the cart or in the Jag´s cart-slot. Give them both a good cleansing and it should work. 3) Nothing happens. How long does it take to load the game? hmmm.... two seconds 4) If I move the Cartridge forth and back, the Jag tends go go on and off. (slack joint ? just old??) urg, don´t do this, the Jag will only work with a cart put in, don´t move the cart while the jag is powered on.
