PayPal scam something like this one:

Dear PayPal Valued Customer,

We recently reviewed your account, and suspect that your PayPal account may  have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. Protecting the security  of your account and of the PayPal network is our primary concern.  Therefore, as a preventative measure, we have temporarily limited access to sensitive PayPal account features. Click below in order to regain access to your account:

PayPal's Security Center, accessible via the "Security Center" link located

at the bottom of each page of the PayPal website.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your

assistance in helping us maintain the integrity of the entire PayPal

system. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

The PayPal Team

Before I even realized (was on first cup of coffee of the day) what was going on, I clicked on the link. I then realized what was going on and went no farther (didn't type in any info). I went back onto PayPal and changed my password and other area's of my profile just in case.

I should have realized it right away by the greeting of not using a name.

I've received this same e-mail a few times. I also have an earthlink account and have received about 6 e-mails simular to this one for earthlink. The links to the web page looks real. They are all just scams. I reported the earthlink ones to tham a few times. Now I just delete them.

What is amazing is that there are those that do answer those e-mails and do get raked over the coals....only to do it again and again. I should know---I was once a newbie
