Alcopoper #1 Posted February 26, 2004 Hi all... What do you guys know about DarkBasic? Just heard about it, checked out there HP and it reminded me a little bit of on of those "DemoMakers" from back in the day, where you can't do really anything but attaching some cloned effects to each other. Each created Demo had about as much character as an MS Word 1.0 File . But Hey - things might change, and since today's PC games have the same amount of character, why not. I am just looking for some reviews here, I guess..... Now... If you want to create a Voxxel based Landscape, environment, what Software/Programming environment/engine would be recommended or be worth to check out? It's a version of the BASIC programming language (with line numbers and all) that has extensive features for creating 3-D worlds. Didn't really do a whole lot with it.
