Track and Field 2 NES

This game is frustrating. Some events are easy, some seem quite impossible, even just to qualify. Anyone know where I can find an online manual for this game?

 

The triple jump event is giving us problems. Anyone have any tips for this event?

Actually, no. In fact the events where you need to hit the "A" button quickly, I just can't compete in those, so I figured perhaps you needed a special game pad to play the game. I even put my hyper 11 year old on it, and he can't hit the button fast enough to qualify for anything

I'm not sure.

 

The generall controls:

 

Build up speed by triggering the A button as fast as possible, then you're choosing the jumping angle 3 times by pressing the B button for a while. You should try releasing B when the angle meter is as close to 45° as possible.

 

But the event is a bitch anyway... there's various techniques for building up speed, for example you can try rubbing a coin or lighter over the buttons...

(If that breaks your controler, you didn't hear it from me... )

 

Auto-Fire pads might also help...
