ulij20 #1 Posted March 9, 2004 I'm sure some of you have seen it, the Pac Man with the green maze, fruit causing the ghosts to disappear and become vulnerable, only three ghosts changing to blue when Pac Man has eaten an Energizer. I also like the fruit variety - cola can, alcoholic drink, pea pod, apple, purple grapes, Galaxian, and loaf of bread. However, the bread is the furthest I've ever gotten. What screen comes after the loaf of bread? And are there more "fruits", or does that last one keep coming until the end of the game, like the Key does in regular Pac Man? Nukey Shay #4 Posted March 9, 2004 BTW the number of monsters turning blue is slightly random. There's the possiblity of one monster not changing...but as you get to higher boards, sometimes two monsters won't change to blue. Later on (starting from pancake #3 in Pac+, IIRC), no monsters will change to blue. NE146- Pancakes with only 740 points? You cheater.
NE146 #5 Posted March 9, 2004 NE146-Pancakes with only 740 points? You cheater. Rack skip my friend.. RACK SKIP Hey it was just to show the fruits.. what do you expect?
Nukey Shay #6 Posted March 9, 2004 lol Also, the game is a hack of the Midway(harder?) version of the game...bluetimes and difficulty are stepped up a notch. I guess to compensate to the higher scores that the fruits provide. I wonder why the apples and Galaxian ship were kept the same as Pacman's?
sigma #7 Posted March 9, 2004 The game plays exactly like the original except that there are various events (apparently selected at random) that may or may not occur after Pac-Man eats one of the four power pellets. These events include but are not limited to: the maze's structure becoming temporarily invisible, the ghosts turning invisible while they are blue, or only three of the four ghosts turning blue. The prizes in the middle of the maze can also act as a power pellet. Another difference is that later in the game the maze's structure becomes permanently invisible. The scoring system is exactly the same as in the original Pac-Man game. What I can't make out is this This game was among the many updates to Pac-Man created by Bally Midway that were authorized by Namco. These unauthorized sequels ultimately led to the termination of the licensing agreement between Namco and Bally Midway. is the first authorized just a typo and supposed to be unauthorized or what? Nukey Shay #8 Posted March 9, 2004 Typo. It was not authorized by Namco. When Ms.Pac was created by changing the hack made by GCC "Crazy Otto" and Midway snatched it up, it wasn't until another year after that when they had been handed back to Namco...along with Jr.Pacman, Professor Pacman, etc. Gift-wrapped boxes?? Permenantly invisible?? I dunno about either of those.
ulij20 #9 Posted March 25, 2004 That's weird, I thought I posted something about a version of Ms. Pac Man called Heartburn the other day. What happened to it? Who knows? Anyway, has anyone ever heard of or seen "Heartburn" before?
