Mod 2600 for auto-switch RF

Is there any mods (easy of course) for any of the 2600 models to activate an auto switch switchbox like the NES/Genesis/TurboGrafx 16 switchboxes?

This works in *theory* but I have never tried it so I don't know if it works.

 

Step 1: find the trace on the 2600 board leading to the center pin of the RF plug and cut that

step 2: put a capacitor (0.1fuF cap)m acrosthe cut in the trace

step 3: put an inductor from any +5v source to the trace closest to RF jack.

 

This should provide a +5v to power the auto RF. Inductor prevents the video signal from screwing with the +5v rail and mess up the whole console. The cap prevents the +5v from passing through and damaging the video modulator.
