Cootster #2 Posted March 15, 2004 Try the front of your local thrift. I bet it has a machine, it's probably not pretty, but I'll bet it's for sale and still plays.
tyranthraxus #3 Posted March 16, 2004 Yeah, but it only happens to OTHER PEOPLE but one day you might be that person. It depends a lot on where you live. I think if you live in a smaller city, you don't have as much competition and you might find a deal. If you see a dusty machine in a local store, ask if its for sale. A store owner might jump at $100 for a bulky machine that might earn $10 a month. Of course you are looking at an older machine, not in the best of shape and might have monitor burn or other problems.
Cassidy Nolen #4 Posted March 16, 2004 They are out there....Why when I have them do I never seem to sell them? Most of the time I can sell a restored Pac Man easier than I can sell a cheapo fighter.. Cassidy

Flack #6 Posted March 17, 2004 The first auction I went to I picked up a working Shinobi (with no sound) for $25 and a Championship Street Fighter II for $35. Most of my games have run me between $150-$200, but I buy a lot nicer of a game than I used to.
DanBoris #7 Posted March 17, 2004 I have also seen working machines at auctions go for under $100, although they usually won't be the best known titles. You won't see a working Pac-Man or Galaga go for that price. Dan
