Rocko #1 Posted March 21, 2004 What is the Best (funnest, coolest) pinball machine that you have played? Why? I would have to say, the Tic Tac Toe one (I am not sure of the name, it was in my old dentists office right by a Kangaroo Cabnet). Also, where can I find a list of JUST pinball machines, with the same type of information (pictures, specs, ect) as klov?
Shortly #2 Posted March 21, 2004 PInball.. My all time fav is the Twilight Zone pin. It has a neat ceramic ball in it that zips around the playfield like there's no tomorrow. Also, one area has magnetic flippers! Runners up are Star Trek: Next Gen and Terminator 2. Both excellent pins!
Nukey Shay #3 Posted March 21, 2004 A few big threads on this... http://atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22236 is one. http://www.ipdb.org/ for a KLOV-type database, featuring specs, pics, etc. My favorite... ...just because.
Happy_Dude #4 Posted March 21, 2004 Addams Family Pinball.
shining slade #5 Posted March 22, 2004 Here's a link to a ton of pinball machine pics. http://www.xmission.com/~daina/photo_gallery.html I forgot, I've got a couple of favorites. Tales Of the Arabian Nights is my all time favorite. But Creature from the Black Lagoon is cool to check out too. Both of these are kind of hard to score on but they're real fun! sku_u #6 Posted March 22, 2004 Besides the pinball machines already mentioned above, Dr. Who, Tales from the Crypt, Diner, Nip It, and Creature from the Black Lagoon rank way up there on my list of favorites.
BONEMAN #7 Posted April 23, 2004 Attack From Mars is my favorite. Theater of Magic is second. And there was a game with Bigfoot, I can't think of the name. It might have been White Water or something.
Adrian M #8 Posted April 23, 2004 I always enjoyed Gorgar.

NovaXpress #10 Posted April 24, 2004 8-Ball Deluxe was indeed a masterpiece of design. Still probably the most playable game out there. Did anyone else ever get a chance to play Atari's Hercules? They had one at the Old Towne Arcade in Toledo at the start of the 80s.
goatdan #11 Posted April 24, 2004 I've played two different Atari Hercules games -- one at Cedar Point which has (had?) an awesome retro arcade for years. I don't know if it still exists though. That game really was a stinker. The concept was cool, but the gameplay was somewhere between non-existant and nothing. My personal favorite game is Space Shuttle pinball, and the runner up is Jurassic Park. I really, really enjoy the new Lord of the Rings game and have played the living daylights out of it. Albert #12 Posted April 24, 2004 I don't know if I'd call it the best pinball, but I'm partial to Black Knight 2000. Not a very complex game (especially compared to later machines), but you can really get in a zone with this game and play it for long periods of time. The great music probably helps. Let's see if I can track some down.. Black Knight 2000: Main Theme Black Knight 2000: Theme 2 Black Knight 2000: Theme 3 Black Knight 2000: Hurry Up Black Knight 2000: Pre-Jackpot Black Knight 2000: Jackpot Black Knight 2000: Ransom (everything lights up, baby!!) Oh yes, I own one of these. ..Al
Xot #13 Posted April 24, 2004 I've always had a sick obsession with the Street Fighter 2 pinball machine... probably because, not in spite of, its incredible cheesiness. Funhouse, Whirlwind, and Eight Ball are some of my other favorite classic pins and Addams Family, Twilight Zone, and Star Trek: TNG the more modern ones. Of course, the eight-ball multiball in Jurassic Park is pretty sweet, too.
