Cassidy Nolen #1 Posted March 25, 2004 Well, With all the Frog Pond stuff, I sort of did not want to spoil this...hopefully now I can share the news. After a very long negotiation, I was able to pick up this little beauty It is complete with manual, warranty card, bill of sale and letter from Commavid stating why there was a delay in delivery. It is truly the cornerstone of my collection. Cart is mint, box is mint, I never thought I would own such a thing. We finished the deal up in Philly, and I showed a few people there. Funny to see me carrying this thing around in a shoebox on the floor in Philly. You would have thought it was Uranium the way I was holding onto it! I had to do the texty-thing, so I dont see these on ebay in a week In the one shot, try to guess which is real and which is a fake. Frightening how good the fake is, eh? Glad that guy is on our side!! Cassidy
MegaManFan #2 Posted March 25, 2004 That story was all over the floor of the con Sunday. "Did you hear Cassidy bought a Video Life?" "No s#%t!" "It was complete in the box too, I saw it." "Damn, how much did he pay for that?" "I don't know, he wouldn't tell me."
Duke 4ever #3 Posted March 25, 2004 You make me so jealous. Oh well, back to the single ended spike's peak for me
Albert #4 Posted March 25, 2004 Cassidy was so ecstatic about his acquisition, that he forced me to snap this photo.. ..Al
Voch #5 Posted March 25, 2004 Actually, I'd settle for that nifty-cool Football T-shirt, but I'd need it in 3XL. Sigh... Cassidy! You're getting fingerprints on a Rarity 10 game! So do you leave your Atari playing Video Life all day? Voch
Cassidy Nolen #6 Posted March 25, 2004 I look like a total goober, Albert! He did not want to touch the manual I have since then stopped washing my hands before touching it. Seems a bit over the top Osmeriod, Nicole and I fired it up the next day. Not a lot of fun to play; and it made a lousy coffee table. Anybody want to guess which box is a CPUWIZ creation and which one is real? Cassidy
the 5th ghost #7 Posted March 25, 2004 The one on the right looks fake to me.
NE146 #8 Posted March 25, 2004 Actually to be quite honest I've never even heard of "video life" I suck as a 2600 freak don't I
The Eidolon #9 Posted March 25, 2004 I have no idea which one is fake, but if I had to guess I would look at the ink to see if it had faded any. I noticed the colors on the boxes are a little different between the two. Since I don't know what colors the original is supposed to have, I'll take a wild guess and say the one on the right is the original. --The Eidolon
homerwannabee #10 Posted March 25, 2004 That looks like a pretty nice score cassidy
CPUWIZ #11 Posted March 25, 2004 I am so glad for you that the deal finally came through, the man who you got it from is quite happy as well. I still don't know how you got your hands on that fake box.

Tempest #13 Posted March 25, 2004 and letter from Commavid stating why there was a delay in delivery Just out of curiosity, what was the reason? Tempest
Stingray #14 Posted March 25, 2004 Actually to be quite honest I've never even heard of "video life" I suck as a 2600 freak don't I Neither have I, but since it's classified as "Unbelivably Rare" that's not a big shock. -S
moycon #15 Posted March 25, 2004 I'll say the one on the left is real.
StanJr #16 Posted March 25, 2004 I saw the Video Life in person, so I know which one is real, but the likeness is incredible. No one has mentioned how GREAT CPUWIZ's repros looked at the show and how tempted I was to buy them all! CPUWIZ does an AMAZING job on those. That Video Life is SWEET and amazingly MINT. Curt Vendel actually bowed before Cassidy when he brought it over to the AA booth. What a great score. You lucky dog.
video game addict #17 Posted March 25, 2004 Actually to be quite honest I've never even heard of "video life" I suck as a 2600 freak don't I It probably wouldn't interest you anyways, it's just some hard to find porn game with hot chicks, you control some dude with a rapacious hard on, much like that avatar of yours, you main objective to catch the chicks and well.. you can guess where it leds from there.. Pretty boring stuff huh?
Mayhem #18 Posted March 25, 2004 To me it's fairly certain that the one on the right is the fake, but that's cos I know CPUWiz's efforts now I own one of them Very nice score... right, this is the reason I will be bringing muchos money with me to CGE, so if you've got some rarities to flog, then look out
Cassidy Nolen #19 Posted March 25, 2004 Curt Vendel actually bowed before Cassidy when he brought it over to the AA booth Dude, that is the only time that will ever happen. Usually its all of us bowing before him!!

ATARIPITBULL #21 Posted March 26, 2004 What a score, but why don't you give us just a little hint as to how much you paid for it, was it over $750.00? or lower.
CPUWIZ #22 Posted March 26, 2004 What a score, but why don't you give us just a little hint as to how much you paid for it, was it over $750.00? or lower. Even if you'd multiply that by 3 it wouldn't get you one MIB.
