wrldstrman #1 Posted March 27, 2004 How many controllers paddles power supplies etc do you keep on hand per system. Not counting different style joysticks etc. Just if you had one 2600 system how many joy sticks would you keep on hand. just 2 or a couple for spares. Some how Ive ended up with about 30 plus regular joy sticks I think ive become a packrat. Adrian M #2 Posted March 27, 2004 30 is a bit excessive, but hey, look on the bright side. You can sell CX-40 sticks for a decent price on eBay and in the AA selling forums. Myself, I have one set of paddles, one set of driving controllers, and 4 fully working CX-40 sticks.
sku_u #3 Posted March 27, 2004 I keep 8 joysticks, 8 sets of paddle controllers, and 8 driving controllers. For third party controllers, I try to get 2 of each so I have one as a backup if the other breaks.
homerwannabee #4 Posted March 27, 2004 I think I may be in the same boat. If there is a joystick that I find at a swapmeet that I do not have for the atari 2600, there is a good chance I will buy it for a buck or two. I even have a sega genesis controller and a commodore 64 controller just because they are compatible with the system. Maybe we should join JCA. ATARIPITBULL #5 Posted March 27, 2004 Well I am a box man, so I have tried to collect every type of Atari 2600 controllers in all the boxes they have and I just now have started collecting the controllers from other companies, so I have a few now, but for just playing my main 2600, I keep 2 pairs of joysticks and 2 pairs of paddles to play with. minorleagueguy #6 Posted March 27, 2004 For every system I own, I have 2 sets of every controller, and now I'm close to 3 sets....It's always good to have extras around.... minorleagueguy
Albert #7 Posted March 27, 2004 Since Atari 2600 controllers and power supplies are relatively easy to come by, I wouldn't keep more than a few known good spares on hand. ..Al
