Strange Japanese O2 Box

[Tempest]

I picked this up at PC5. It appears to be a Japanese O2 game. Everything is in English except for a silver sticker on the spine of the box and a set of photocopied Japanese instructions in the box. I believe the Japanese O2 was called the Kantoon or something like that.

 

Anyone seen something like this before?

My copy of Freedom Fighters has the spine label like that - believe it or not, came from the store that way.
