1040STF power supply

Recommended Posts

Well, the power supply in my 1040 seems to have gone south. Does anybody happen to have a spare they wouldn't mind selling? I know Best has them but they seem rather expensive.

I have a spare 1040stf that I've used for parts, I've sent you pieces of the keyboard from it :)

Is the power supply internal? Because I thought I just plugged a standard computer power cable into my 1040 none of that bulky power supply like the 8bits.

Yeah, it's an internal power supply. Just a few screws and a plug to remove it, if I recall. Not too difficult.

Send me a PM or email for how much you want for it. Thanks. :)

$1 less than Best's price ;)

I'll have a look at removing it, I know the powersupply was working when I decomissioned the 1040, there were problems with the mouse ports and the floppy was dead so I turned it into a parts machine.

I'll send you an email when I get it out of the computer. I'd be more comfortable sending it to you first to see if it works.
