Phoenix Pal does anyone know anything about this????

Recommended Posts

can anyone explain this?

You are bidding on an Atari gameTotally rare Phoenix - you know what you're looking at here... one of those ultra rare prototypes distributed to a select few!. This PAL format game comes complete in original box and is in excellent condition; tested and working. Comes with instruction booklet too! 2

Heh, exactly like the original but only without Atari logo. The regular (official) PAL release of this is just like the US version but with a little P (indicating PAL) sticker on it.

"The Chosen Few" in the auction description presumably means "a few million Chinese people".

I bought an "ultra ultra ultra rare!!! Once in a lifetime opportunity!!!! Look at this!!! Genuine collectors only!!!" hot deal the other day.

It was Phoenix.

It cost me £2 shipped.

I feel so proud to have won such an ultra rare, hard to find, I'd-never-ever-see-one-in-the-wild-ever-ever-again cart at such a low low price.

I bought an ultra-rare one of a kind copy of Phoenix a couple days ago for 99 cents.

Proud to be one of the chosen few.

I'm currently bidding €1,99 for such a rare cart. I have won other carts from that seller (Oink! and Crystal Castles) and still bidding on some other carts. Ok it's more than $0,99, but still, I want to see the PS2 kids buy a game for €1,99 ;)

Geez Whisper, way to blow it for me, I was just about to offer to sell him a copy for the low, low price of $100.

By the way Saiyko, I'm kidding again. ;)

Going by the current economic climate with the US dollar being so weak and the UK pound so strong our PAL Phoenix carts selling at a £1 a piece in the UK work out at... tap tap... hang on just using my abacus... click... click... at roughly $117.34 a piece. Wow! PAL Phoenix is so expensive, therefore it must be very rare.

There we go a little maths and knowledge of the global exchange rate mechanism incorporating domestic economic trends we can prove the cost and reflective rarity value of a 20 year old game... I think.

its shocking how much 'rare' and 'extremely rare' crap theres on ebay. :?

so i gather this carts not worth acquiring?

is it better to go for the original atari cart?

i havent placed any bids on it. :)

That's answered by query for the day! :D I got a load of carts today, and wondered why they had the letter 'P' on in various guises, be it a small additioanl sticker, or part of the original label artwork.
