Mr.FoodMonster #1 Posted April 8, 2004 I was looking through a list of GBA games, and saw that there is a GBA E.T. game. I was immediatly frightened. The description of the game sounds WAY to much like the 2600 game. Has anyone played this version? PLEASE tell me its more then just updated graphics.... Mr.FoodMonster #4 Posted April 8, 2004 Afraid not, no joke http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance.../data/3019.html
joeybastard #5 Posted April 8, 2004 I've seen the box for the ET game. I think there's actually more than one. I doubt it has anything to do with the VCS version. It was released when they re-released(and ruined) the movie for it's 20th anniversary.
Cootster #6 Posted April 8, 2004 I own it, it's worse . . . Were there deadly life-sapping frogs in the film? And I don't remember the running around collecting identical flowers part, either. So, no, it's not a joke . . . In fact, it makes the 2600 version look good, and the 400/800 version look better.
Bivotar #7 Posted April 8, 2004 Didn't some version of this make it to the Playstation, too? I seem to remember that cover on a GBA game box and a Playstation case. I tried the GBA version. PEEEEE-YEWWWW! Nothing at all like the VCS version.
Gregory DG #8 Posted April 8, 2004 This game has been out for some time now... (IGN reviewed it on June 14, 2002.) http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/362/362255p1.html I've played it. It sucks. The end.
Emehr #9 Posted April 10, 2004 It's best just to stick with the original :-)
Raijin Z #10 Posted April 10, 2004 Damn, how many hardware mods do you have in that GBA?
vb_master #11 Posted April 10, 2004 It's best just to stick with the original :-)Thats a GBA TV Tuner, right? I have one of those, too. I had to mod it to work with a SP, a Gamester accessory works well to mod it. It's a 3 cart multitap.
Emehr #12 Posted April 10, 2004 Yeah, it's a Pelican GBA Tuner. Quite the versatile accessory. You can feed it an RF or A/V signal. I've since modded my GBA with an afterburner and have yet to try it with that.
bergbros2 #13 Posted April 10, 2004 I tell, you... the world is ready for a remake of the pit falling Reese's Pieces eating goodness of 2600 E.T. How about a Froggo or Mythicon anthology? It worked for Activision.

I'm wondering what my computer will look like with a S-Video to RCA adapter connected to the SP?
vb_master #15 Posted April 10, 2004 I just tryed to get my 2600 to work with it. I have the cable running into the GBA tuner, and everything's plugged in. I can't figure out how to get my GBA TV to recieve the 2600's signal? I have the gold RCA->Cable thing on too
Emehr #16 Posted April 10, 2004 I just tryed to get my 2600 to work with it. I have the cable running into the GBA tuner, and everything's plugged in. I can't figure out how to get my GBA TV to recieve the 2600's signal? I have the gold RCA->Cable thing on too Make sure the RF cable is plugged into the bottom of the tuner (by the antenna base), not the top (where it says "A/V in/out"). That was my first mistake when I started messing around with it. Also, tune it to channel 3 (somewhere between 60 and 62MHz). I can post some pics if you're still having trouble. vb_master #17 Posted April 10, 2004 Ok, Ill try that... *comes back to computer* it worked, now to try digital cable... *comes back again* works! o_O G4 and TechTV and every other 999 channels with on demand on my GBA! YeAh! What would my computer look like on it though? Could you imagine Unreal running on it? BTW Do you want to see how I have the SP set up?
Emehr #18 Posted April 11, 2004 Actually, yeah I'd like to see your set up. I always imagined the tuner upside down with some homemade stand when used with an SP. Hmm, maybe we should move this to the hardware forum...
