Draikar #1 Posted April 9, 2004 I seen a NES Nintendo PAC MAN for 9.99 listed in Vintage Games, he says "The game works great and I will refund your money if it doesn't for you" but I think I only get the box and not the game so what the hell is he talking about ? Did I just pay 9.99 plus 3.99 for shipping costs just for a stupid box ??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3089505857&rd=
kheffington #2 Posted April 9, 2004 He says the game works great and he will refund if it doesn't work for you. So it should come with the game.
chrishicks #3 Posted April 9, 2004 I looked through a few other items he is selling and I noticed a few that say "box only" and then says the game works in the description. this could just mean that there are no instructions with it.
Albert #4 Posted April 9, 2004 I would write the seller to be sure, as it looks like he reuses his descriptions. It's not very clear from this auction if the game is included or not, and it doesn't hurt to make sure before you bid. The text at the start of the description reads, "Here is a the NES Nintendo game box for PAC MAN NAMCO. As you can see in picture, the BOX is free of stickers and markers." If you were to just read that, it would seem he is only selling the box. The rest of the text is pretty much cut and paste from other auctions, and he could have made a mistake where he talks about guaranteeing that the game works. ..Al
Draikar #5 Posted April 9, 2004 I should have asked first before buying. The seller was very understanding and said I did not have to buy it. He said he screwed up the wording on this auction.

Whoops, I didn't realize the auction had already ended. At least the seller is giving you a way out, though, and admitting he made a mistake in the description. If you don't buy it, he'll just relist it with a more accurate description, won't really be much skin off his back (and if it sells the second time, he'll get his listing fee refunded). ..Al
deathtrappomegranate #7 Posted April 10, 2004 That's a nice response from the seller. All too often people are just scamming. Box-only auctions are quite tricky to describe, but it sounds like everyone could be OK here.
