Shipping from Europe

Recommended Posts

hi,

anyone knows if shipping from all European countries to the USA/Canada is so expensive as from Germany ?

Shipping 1 game is 6 Euro, 2 games 7 Euro ;

up to 15 games 12.30 Euro and up to 40 29 Euro.

This seems to be expensive. The biggest problems with German post are 1) they are slow and air mail makes shipping twice as expensive in some cases and 2) they have no online tracking, making them worthless for

paypal payments, since buyers can complain.

Anyone knows if there are other companies for shipping items of low weight from Germany/Europe to the USA?

UPS maybe ?

I can partly answer your first question. This link shows what worldwide shipping using the Royal Mail costs frm the U.K

Big Parcels:

(Sorry, couldn't find them in english)

And these are the rates for the Finnish mail:

Hope this helps :)

I buy stuff (mostly car related) that gets shipped to me via Royal Mail from the UK all the time. Rates aren't too bad and they've proven to be fast & reliable.

Funny, since the Royal Mail is what refrains me from buying in the UK.

Maybe they have almost the same prices to EU and US,

as they're both "overseas" countries from their perspective... ;) :D

Back to topic, a shipping to the States is very expensive from here as

well, I wouldn't know what to suggest. UPS is usually much worse, even

though - on the other hand - the service provided could be much better

and faster (expecially at the stupid custom, everything gets stuck

in those customs :x geez)

Not that sending goods in a packet from the States to Europe is any

cheaper, I must say... And boy oh boy, what happens with the

customs here...

/ME looks at picture and notices helmet and flashlight.

Is that standard equipment for UK postal workers? You look more like a cave-explorer then someone who delivers mail :D

The cost of sending a single, loose 2600 cart from the UK to the US, by airmail, is approximately $2.40 US; which is the same as USPS charges for sending one the other way, by the cheapest airmail method.

One area where the UK postal service is strange is surface shipping. They describe it as ideal for heavy and bulky items, yet won't ship anything over 2kg surface (about 4lbs 6oz). Weird!
