how screwed am I?(ebay cancelled an auction I won)

I used BIN on an auction for a new sealed copy of Custers Revenge last night and already paid for it and now ebay has cancelled the auction. what should I do?

in which you were a bidding participant, has been ended early by eBay for violating one or more of our listing guidelines.

 

 

Because the auction was ended early, you as a bidder are not required to complete the transaction. Since this is a listing violation, the seller is free to relist the item in the proper format. Should you wish to do so, you are free to bid on the item again if it is relisted.

Did you write to the seller? I would see if he's willing to complete the sale or refund you before taking any action.

If you paid you need to see if the seller is planning to follow through on the transaction anyway. I would contact the seller and see that they have to say first.

I sent him an email a few seconds ago. my main concern now is since I already paid and the auction listing is gone how do I actually get my $ back if I never get it?

What kind of feedback does the seller have? If the his feedback is good, I wouldn't worry about it.

What's strange is Ebay cancelling a Custer's Revenge auction. People sell sealed copies of this game without problems.

 

They should send emails explainig why they are doing this and not these auto mails that says nothing. It's a total lack of respect.

I speculate, that it was a respectable seller, and there was a minor technicality that was infringed, and a rival seller simply reported them just becuase they could, in an attempt to reduce the competition, and that the report was sumbitted whilst the auction was still live, and eBay cancelled it after the BIN option was used.

sorry I haven't updated on this, I had a family emergency.

 

I paid 60.00 for the game. the game was listed as new and sealed. he has a 100% feedback. he has contacted me back and he is still going to send the game. he wasn't aware the auction was cancelled until I brought it to his attention.

I saw that auction.

 

The description was quite detailed, and seemed OK to me.

 

However, like 99% of others, I haven't read all of eBay's small print, since I couldn't spare the 3 weeks or so it would take to find it.

 

It was a good price though, and the seller seems OK. I wonder what eBay's beef was?

Hi this was my cart. I sold it to Chris. However, he didn't get it yet cause I forgot one number of his address and it got mailed back to me. I do want to say that if you guys every get a chance to buy from him do it cause even though 1. the auction got cancelled 2. i shipped it to the wrong address the first time he has been really understanding about the whole thing!

don't worry about it. mistakes do happen. I just hope I didn't raise any concerns with anyone about buying anything from you in the future since you have kept me in the loop from the minute the auction was cancelled. this was just the 1st time an auction was cancelled on me after I paid for it and I just freaked.

yeah it is the first time that I have ever had an auction cancelled too. Regardless, let me know when you get the cart. I have a tracking number for you, I just have not mailed it yet.
