Mangia PAL

Recommended Posts

wow this cart just sold for an unbelievable AU$139.36

Winning bid: AU $139.26

Ended 15-Apr-04 18:38:49 AEST

You are invited to bid on an ultra rare chance to own a copy of Magnia for the 2600.

This is rated 10 out of 10 for rarity on atariage.com and is one of the hardest games you are every likley to locate.

It follows the story of a kid who has to eat everything his mother puts on the plate for him.

Pasta after more pasta eating earning more and more points.

What a chance is this to own the infamous Mangia game...

I bid on it just for the hell of it, but didn't really try to win it. What would I do with a PAL game anyway.

Play it? Just need a different TV :)

(There are only a few NTSC copies of that game around, and that label is minty)

I play my pal games all the time. Screen bows in a bit, but works :)

Well i'm pretty sure. A few Mangia's have shown up on ebay this year, and i think one of them was also in Australia. I had one in my watch-list just because i was curious how much it would fetch (I already have a Mangia). I think some German guy bought it.

Cheers,

Raymond

Offhand I'd say $20 american. Or less. Way more common in other countries than it ever was NTSC here, where it's $40 and up.

Gas Hog and Master Builder aren't so great PAL. On eBay they sometimes sell for under $10. I think a reasonable price would be $20.

Bumper Bash is rather uncommon PAL and is worth maybe twice those prices PAL, I would surmise.

Mangia is quite rare PAL (I would consider it equivalent to a 6 or 7 out of 10), and probably worth $75-$150.) NTSC it's impossible, and the sky's the limit on one of those, although I've yet to see a completely confirmed NTSC copy. If Mangia hit $200 in the past, it's sort of a fluke, because they pop up now and again in PALlands.

It depends where in the world you are. In Germany these games are *really* common and usually sell for a few euro's loose. If anyone wants to buy Gas Hog and/or Master Builder from me for $20 just let me know :)

Bumper Bash is rather uncommon PAL and is worth maybe twice those prices PAL, I would surmise.

I would say rather rare in PAL. The only place you can find it for a reasonable place is Australia and even there it only shows up a few times a year. $40 is a good estimate though.

It's much more rare then a 6 or 7. I think something around a 9. They usually only show up a few times a year and if they do, they fetch a pretty high price (for a PAL cart at least).

Cheers,

Raymond

Hmm, Well since i got mangia I do a search every 2nd day for Mangia alone. Apart from "eat eat" Ive seen 2 in the last few months. 1 in europe, the other in the US. So the one on recently is the only one ive seen for a long time.

It may seem odd but gashog and especially Tapeworm hardly ever show up on oz ebay. A boxed bumper bash went a few months ago, I almost bought it for the box for CPUwiz. I missed it though and it went for about $20???

So knows, And who cares. I never want to make a business out of my hobby.

BigFairy321, IMHO the mangia went quite cheap in comparison to other mangias. That carts in excllent condition

This year i've seen 2 in Europe (including a boxed one) and 2 in Australia, i might have seen that one in the US you mention, but i can't really remember that one...

If you use search'the forum for Mangia you'll find some topics about them.

Cheers,

Raymond

BTW if you ever can get your hand on a Bumper Bash (loose is fine) i'm interested :)
