BTHOTU
I paid a guy by USPS MONEY ORDER for a Virtual Boy System boxed, and he replied to me a lot till I sent the payment. Since then I have had no replies, he changed his user name (to wrongfull), and his contact info Phone # is no good. Will the USPS give me my money back and take it from him???? it says if stolen they would give a refund, I am guessing this is stolen. WHAT SHOULD I DO?????? bjk7382
I think he can get in trouble from ebay for having bad contact info. I would also see what the USPS can do about getting it back.

kheffington
what can they do has anyone ever done this??? I plan on going monday. You will need to file a fraud complaint. They will investigate it. They will at least try contacting him. If there are several complaints about the same person, they will take action. If yours is the only complaint about this person, don't expect them to do much. You may never see your item or money back but the complaint will be kept on file. Sometimes just filing the complaint gets the person to send the item or refund. kheffington
it says if stolen they would give a refund, I am guessing this is stolen. No this is not what is meant by stolen. If the money order was cashed by the person named on the money order, the post office will not refund. Stolen in this case means that the money order was stolen. JerseyDevil
I tried a few years ago to get my money back through the Post Office on a bad transaction. They basically told me I was wasting my time. You can try and file mail fraud charges but it becomes your word against theirs.
Super-Genius!
Here are a few suggestions for everyone when this happens: 1. Try to send him an email through the "ask the seller a question" link on the auction page itself. 2. As a rule, NEVER use a USPS Money order!! Go to your bank and get a money order there. What not too many people know is, if you get a money order from a bank, you can go back to the bank and sign a document "not for intended use" and they will GIVE you your money back!! And trust me, that is a FACT. So, if you go into the bank and ask the teller about this, and she looks at you stupid, ask to talk to someone else. You may actually have to go through a half a dozen people before you find one that knows what is going on. 3. Have someone you know email him on one of the auctions that did not get a bid and tell him they are interested in buying that item and see if he responds!! Here is one of them: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3395622361 4. Get all of his contact information from eBay by clicking here: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?...emberSearchShow Those are just a few things you can do.... Where in the auction did it state the system was boxed???? File mail fraud charges and file a fraud complaint with ebay, other than that just accept the fact you got screwed. BTHOTU
i EMAILED THE SELLER AND HE REPLIED BACK THAT IT WAS BOXED AND IN MINT CONDITION. THE ONLY REASON I BID IS BECAUSE OF HIS QUICK REPLIES AND IT WAS CHEAP FOR A BOXED VIRTUAL BOY.
