GrandviewCoin #3 Posted April 18, 2004 ok, maybe you didn't understand? I'm looking to see if there is any REAL atari BBS's that I can call with a real atari sx212 modem. There has to be a few I would imagine, and was hoping to get a "So & So BBS" is real cool and still operational type of response.. So what I'm looking for is Old School, and not through my current PC. Daniel
+davidcalgary29 #4 Posted April 18, 2004 S.P.A.C.E. still operates a BBS, but I don't know the number of it offhand. Most users tend to access it from the telnet address. And I'm sure that ABBUC still has a BBS, but you probably don't want to dial long distance to Germany to use it. I currently know of two BBSes that allow dial-up access in Western Canada, but neither of them cater to Atari machines.
Marius #5 Posted April 26, 2004 If you have an atari 8bit and APE you can call my bbs in atascii on you real atari 8bit. If you have an atari 8bit, but you do not want to use a pc: get an atari 850 or other R: interface and buy yourself a lantronix RS232 -> LAN modem. There you go. My BBS is not available anymore on phoneline, but it is on the internet. Running on real atari 8bit equipment without a pc. Marius
