Jasoco #2 Posted April 20, 2004 anyone know when the new zelda game for gba is supposed to be released? and have any screenshots of it been released yet? Uhhhh... Do you mean the GAMECUBE version of Four Swords that uses the GBA to control? Or do you mean the rerelease GBA version of the original Zelda?
Raijin Z #3 Posted April 20, 2004 No, there's an actual GBA Zelda game in the works... Dunno much about it though.
Jasoco #4 Posted April 20, 2004 No, there's an actual GBA Zelda game in the works... Dunno much about it though.I'd settle for, and gladly pay $30 for, a GBA update to Link's Awakening. That game was the bestest ever.
figgler #5 Posted April 20, 2004 No, there's an actual GBA Zelda game in the works... Dunno much about it though. Once again made in conjunction with Capcom I believe

joshua #7 Posted April 20, 2004 Please let this be a NEW game and not just another bloody rehash....... --Zero it's to be a new game in the zelda line, but it seems a bit half hearted to hire the capcom team out to design it. could it possibly be cheaper that way?, or maybe, do they feel it's not important enough to keep it in the nintendo name? this along with mario is the mother of all flagship series for all systems. doesn't get any bigger. maybe they're just making too much money marketing the systems to even bother putting resources behind their flagships, but if thats the case i can see interest dropping off quickly in thier namesake if this sort of approach continues. Raijin Z #8 Posted April 20, 2004 Funny you should say Flagship, because that's the division of Capcom that's been doing the portable Zelda games.
Invader_dag #9 Posted April 20, 2004 it isn`t like Capcom is controlling the direction the game is going in, it`s merely a joint effort that they did with the oracle games, and the four swords/link to the past game. Nintendo isn`t stepping back either, if you noticed, Square helped with Mario RPG, yet it still was a great game, and it was obvious how much Nintendo had to do with the developement of the game. Jasoco #10 Posted April 20, 2004 Did Capcom do the Links Awakening game? And how about the Oracle ones? Also, didn't Nintendo get someone else to do Super Star Saga? And that's still a great game.
Raijin Z #11 Posted April 20, 2004 Definitely Oracles, I think Awakening... not sure, haven't played it since it was new.
Ze_ro #12 Posted April 20, 2004 I don't think Capcom had anything to do with Link's Awakening. I played that game through at least a dozen times, and I don't remember seeing Capcom's name mentioned anywhere. --Zero
Vic George 2K3 #13 Posted April 21, 2004 I think Link's Awakening was all Nintendo's creation.
Invader_dag #14 Posted April 21, 2004 no, Awakening was all nintendo. have you noticed how often in the past few years Nintendo has called in help with games? i think it's great cause they aren't selling the license but are still bringing in new creative ideas
Jasoco #15 Posted April 21, 2004 I still want a GBA update of Awakening! I loved that damn game and would love to see it in full color at full resolution. Wish I hadn't lost my GBC version. I would play through again... Guess I'll go to GS and spend $14 to get another one. The third copy of Awakening I'll have bought.
figgler #16 Posted April 21, 2004 Good plan. The GBC DX version is definitely the way to go. The extra dungeon is cool and the reward item you choose is probably the best in the game
Drakonic Duke #17 Posted April 21, 2004 Who knows mabey it will be as good as OoT, not likly but possible.
Jasoco #18 Posted April 21, 2004 Good plan. The GBC DX version is definitely the way to go. The extra dungeon is cool and the reward item you choose is probably the best in the gameI know. The game was my personal favorite for a while. I even found it good enough to buy again when it got Colorized. But I'm debating if I really want to buy it one more time. Even if it's like $14.99 used. BTW, how are the two Oracle games? I never got those. I never tried those. I just never got into it. I wanna know if they're worthy of $14.99 as well. I'd kinda like to try them out. Even if they are Color games and not Advance.
figgler #19 Posted April 21, 2004 The Oracle games are even better than Awakening, with Seasons taking a slight edge over Ages IMHO. They seem to use the same engine as Awakening, but are way deeper and more involved. They actually 'connect' together using a link cable or passwords so that you can transfer items and explore new stuff in either title. The only way to access the real ending is to play them consecutively and link up as appropriate. The colours here are nicer than Awakening (as expected) and there is a shop in each game that is only accessible if you are playing on a GBA as opposed to the GBC. Totally solid all around. Worth quite a bit more than $14.99 if you ask me. If I didn't own them, I'd be willing to pay full price to get them again
NE146 #20 Posted April 21, 2004 I dunno.. I didn't dig Oracle and Ages too much.. they just seemed way to linear for some odd reason. And yes I played them all the way through from Ages-> Oracle first, then from Oracle -> Ages next to see everything I could and the changes in storyline, etc. I actually think the original GB Zelda game (and I guess the DX version which is pretty much the same game) are better than the Oracle series. Just my opinion though.
Jasoco #21 Posted April 22, 2004 The colours here are nicer than Awakening (as expected) and there is a shop in each game that is only accessible if you are playing on a GBA as opposed to the GBC.Wait.. what? A shop only accessible in the GBA??? How? Wow.. Must get the games. I really should get them all. I totally wanna get back into them. If only they were GBA games and not GBC. But GBC is better than plain old GB any day.
shep #22 Posted April 22, 2004 Ive been wanting to play the Oracle series and havn't got around too it. From what I hear I think I will like Seasons better.
donkeykong1 #23 Posted April 23, 2004 They are both great games, I have finished them both but I am stuck in the last stage that you can only acces when you complete both games. Does anyone know what to do to get out of the maze and to the boss?
