CPUWIZ #2 Posted April 21, 2004 Wouldn't surprise me. Hmm, who do I know at IP that I can contact to find out if this is BS? P.S. That was a god aweful forum to look at, my eyes hurt.
CPUWIZ #3 Posted April 23, 2004 I think this was BS, best I could find out was that the CEO resigned.
Jasoco #4 Posted April 23, 2004 Whoa, CPU. I didn't recognize you without your hat. Interplay.. interplay.. Oh yeah. I had to think what games I knew them from. Anyone got more info? It seems a lot of old game companies keep dying off lately... or they get bought up by someone else who takes their name.
Cybergoth #5 Posted April 23, 2004 Hi there! Interplay.. interplay.. Oh yeah. I had to think what games I knew them from. Most famous should still be their "The Bard's Tale" games, then probably various "Star Trek" stuff. Anyone got more info? It seems a lot of old game companies keep dying off lately... or they get bought up by someone else who takes their name. I think that already happened to Interplay, IIRC they where bought by Titus not too long ago. Greetings, Manuel
Tempest #6 Posted April 23, 2004 Interplay dead? I thought they had been dead for years now. In my mind they really died the day EA took them over... Tempest
PuddWakkr #7 Posted April 23, 2004 As long as I get a Blackthorne update first they have permission to go away.
Jasoco #8 Posted April 23, 2004 Hi there! Interplay.. interplay.. Oh yeah. I had to think what games I knew them from. Most famous should still be their "The Bard's Tale" games, then probably various "Star Trek" stuff. Star Trek is what I was thinking of. Mainly from the intro logo on my old "Star Trek 25th Anniversary" PC game.
