Did the game Ramrod ever get released?

Recommended Posts

I clearly remember being very excited about a game called Ramrod. I believe it was supposed to be released by Gremlin, and was about some sort of Robocop looking character wandering around in an arcade, playing classic coin-op games.

I remember seeing a screenshot in a magazine, showing isometric graphics, and close to Bitmap Brothers excellence in the metallic glare and detail of the stubby main character.

I know I haven't thrown away any old magazines, but I've looked through all ACE and Zero issues I have, and come up with nothing, so I'm guessing that I'm going to have to go down into my dad's cellar and see if I can dig up my old The One issues in some box.

Does anyone remember anything about this game at all?

We recently discussed this game in the Atari Legend team. We currently believe this is an unreleased game, however any information is welcome.

Cheers

Hah! So my memory was right!

Ok, I'll see if I can dig through my The One, or ST Format collection some time next week, because I clearly remember the screenshot being of him in an arcade.

Oh, what an old thread. If I remember correctly, I did browse through at least part of my games magazine collection, but couldn't locate the screenshots that I remember.

Does anyone have any more information about this game today? Screenshots, etc.

In other words... *bump* ;)
