Anyone interested in a NEO GEO home console?

Recommended Posts

I've had this for awhile (second unit) and really don't play it much since I have an MVS setup. The unit itself is in PRISTINE condition...no cracks/scuffs or logo fading. The cart slots are tight (no glitching evident on any of the games I've played) and more importantly this is a US console (all games play in English) with awesome A/V video output (some earlier US models had iffy video output riddled with interference, etc).

The system truly looks like new. No box or packaging is included, but the system manual and warranty card are. I'll throw in a US Baseball Stars Professional game (poor condition) to complete the package.

INCLUDES

*Console (English BIOS)---all games play in English and composite video output is near flawless

*A/V cables

*1 joystick (newer style)

*AC Power Adaptor (not original...a modified version that meets factory spec...bought from the Neostore)

*Instruction Manual/registration card

*BASEBALL STARS PROFESSIONAL game cart (poor condition)

Asking price? I'm shooting for about $255.00 for all of this stuff--shipping is included for those in the lower 48 states (delivery method of my choice). I will not break the bundle up, so please don't ask.

Payments accepted:

*MONEY ORDER

*PAYPAL

I am, definitely, but would have to trade for it if you're willing.

I'm looking to sell this outright, but feel free to send me your tradelist. Maybe I'll come across something that I'll need or want.

If I hadn't thrown downso much cash in Philly last month I'd be all over it. If you still have it in a couple months I may PM you. :D

Of course, then I'd have to start buying $100 games...

Well, I'm in no hurry to sell this (unless an offer comes in the meantime), so there's a good chance that I'll still have it. Do check back with me if and when you think you'll want to buy.

Also, you can get a bunch of the older classic titles in the $30 - $60 range brand new. Apparently tons of old stock games have surfaced now that the Neo is on its way out, and this has caused prices to drop in most cases with the exception of the high ticket games like the Metal Slugs and KOF titles.

But I will tell you this...Neo Geo systems are notorious for poor video output and loose cartridge contact slot connections. Quality varies between production runs, and the systems you see on eBay and from online sellers are iffy at best. If anyone is on the fence, you have my assurance that this system is in near mint condition, has phenomenal composite output, is not modded in any way (pure and pristine), and has tight and solid cart connectors. In other words, a tested and top quality console for the same price as those that you would find on eBay from some shady overseas sellers.

I'm interested too, but like Xot just can't justify it at the moment (been spending too much on classic game stuff recently).
